What We Do

The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization run by staff and a dedicated corps of volunteers.

Located at the junction of Carling Avenue and Richmond Road in a heritage log building, the Olde Forge provides an information and referral service to the community at large and community support programs to seniors and adults with physical disabilities living in the west end of Ottawa.

As well, the Olde Forge provides other services for the greater Ottawa area, such as a weekly foot clinic, fitness and social recreation programs, and annual tax clinics for seniors.

This website contains more detailed information on what the Olde Forge offers for services to the community. The website is updated frequently to keep all information current, so please check back often.

I really have appreciated all the work and care that the Olde Forge has done to help the seniors in our community deal with the challenges of the COVID-19, especially during the winter months.  I am an 85-year-old living alone, and I look forward to the calls from the Mercuri phone program Monday through Friday.

So grateful to the Olde Forge for offering these wonderful services throughout the week to carry me through the COVID-19 pandemic. I so look forward to waking up in the morning to get a phone call from the staff telling me about stories and poems, social chats, and special guest speakers.

Thank-you so much for all you do for the seniors! My dad enjoys going to the Alzheimer's group activities with Old Forge and my mom really appreciates the support.
